Welcome to NEDSI 2026!
55th Annual Conference of the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the entire NEDSI Board and Organizing Committee, I am honored to welcome you to the 55th Annual Conference of the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute (NEDSI). We are especially excited to host this milestone gathering in the historic city of Philadelphia, as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary.
The 2026 conference theme, Future of Decision Sciences: Complexity, Innovation, Sustainability, invites us to reflect critically and constructively on the evolution of our field and the role it must play in addressing modern organizational and societal challenges. The program will feature a vibrant mix of paper sessions, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and student posters, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world application. We welcome submissions from practitioners and industry leaders whose insights enrich our shared discourse. We are also excited to once again host a student poster session. These events provide excellent opportunities for professional development and networking.
The venue for NEDSI 2026 is the Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square, which places attendees in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. Just steps away from iconic landmarks such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the hotel provides ideal access to cultural and historical attractions. A special group rate for conference attendees will be available via the NEDSI website.
In addition to our sincere gratitude to the entire NEDSI board, we are grateful to our host institution, Widener University, and its School of Business Administration, for their generous support. Specifically, I would like to thank the President of Widener University as well as our Dean of the School of Business Administration, without whose support the conference could not have taken place. I would also like to thank the many track chairs, reviewers, volunteers, and board members whose dedication makes this conference possible. The board and organizing committee will continue to work very hard during the next few months to put together a great 2026 conference.
