Welcome to NEDSI 2027!

55th Annual Conference of the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute

April 1 – 3, 2027

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the board and program committee of the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute (NEDSI), I am pleased to welcome you to the 56th Annual Conference, to be held in Jersey City, New Jersey, on April 1–3, 2027.

The theme of the conference is ‘Compassionate AI and Business Decisions under Uncertainty.‘ The program features multidisciplinary tracks, plenary talks, workshops, panel discussions, and social hours — exploring the ethical, strategic, and human dimensions of AI in organizational decision-making.

We are pleased to offer a diverse range of paper presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, made possible by the efforts of academics, practitioners, and volunteers. A student poster session will also be held. There will be ample opportunity for networking and professional growth throughout the conference.

The venue for NEDSI 2027 is the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson, situated along the waterfront with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. The hotel offers easy access to New York City via the PATH train, as well as nearby restaurants, parks, and cultural attractions along the Hudson River waterfront. A special conference group rate for room reservations will be available via the NEDSI website.

The board and organizing committee will continue to work hard over the coming months to deliver an excellent 2027 conference. In addition to our sincere gratitude to the entire NEDSI board, we extend our appreciation to Kean University and its College of Business and Public Management, which will serve as the institutional host of NEDSI 2027.
